Feb. 16 General Meeting: Two Resolutions

In the February meeting, club members will vote to endorse or not endorse 2 Resolutions.

We are providing the text of the Resolutions here for members to read and analyze in advance of the meeting. There will be a limited number of paper copies available at the meeting, and a limited amount of time to present the resolutions for discussion.

What Are Resolutions?

Resolutions express facts, principles, opinions, and purposes. Resolutions are submitted by a member of the County Committee or by an organization chartered by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.

Resolution cannot

Endorse a candidate
Propose legislation
Support a ballot measure
Call for changes in our bylaws or rules
Speak for other organizations or groups
Be overly complex

The structure and format of Resolutions are set by LACDP and CDP.  LACDP Resolution-Template-Introduction
